Eastern States Preview:  Nick Vena, Morristown NJ, will be back in the Big Apple today to better his 71-5 mark, which is currently US#1 and US#3 all-time.  Also in the field events, Jen Clayton, Suffern NY, will be competing in the long jump, where she currently holds the US#1 mark of 20-5.75.

The high jumps pits will be hopping as well with Emily Kianka, Hopewell Valley NJ and Lacey Shuman, Maryvale Prep MD, going head to head.  The pair are co-US#1's at 5-10.  The boys high jump will be no less thrilling, with Mark Jones, Summit NJ, and Oneil Sandiford, Paul Robeson NY, battling it out.  Both have cleared 6-10 this year.

The girls 400 meter dash will also be swift with Kyle Plant, Colonie NY, and Michelle Brown, Seneca NJ, set to go head to head.  Plant is US#3 with a time of 55.43 and Brown is US#6 at 55.81.

The DMR is always an exciting event indoors, and tonight will be no different.  Burnt Hills NY is US#3 with a time of 10:19.98 and Haddonfield NJ is US#4 with a time of 10:20.50.  Haddonfield is certainly capable of a faster time given that there was a baton dropped on the anchor leg of their 10:20.50 performance.  Also in the race are Shaker NY, Christian Brothers Academy NJ, and St. Anthony's NY.

In the girls DMR Arlington NY has the fastest time, and should be able to go sub-12, as there will be plenty of competition.  They have run 12:00.70.  Lenape NJ and North Shore NY will be their main competition as both are within 5 second of 12:00.  Cornwall NY looks out of the race on paper, but with super-miler Aisling Cuffe running the anchor leg, they could drop some serious time.

In the 4x200 meter relay Newburgh Free Academy NY is .26 behind Sheepshead Bay's US#1 time of 1:29.00.  With Sheepshead not running Newburgh has the opportunity to focus on their race to overtake them and go sub-1:29.

In the 4x400 US#2 (3:20.13) Newburgh will have a chance to retake the US#1 spot, but they are going to have to go sub-3:20 to do it.  Mt. Vernon NY will be pushing them around the track, as they are US#6 at 3:21.22.
