Western Ohio Officials Invitational at Ohio Northern University: Justin Welch, OH, put up a monster weight throw with a 76-06 heave, a US#1 mark in the event. Welch also won the shot put with a US#5 shot put toss of 57-11.

CHSAA Jr. Weight and Novice: North Shore, NY, remains atop the learerboard in the 4x800 relay after lowering their previous best to a 9:21.30 clocking.

Prince George Holiday Invitational: US#1's from Alyssa McClure, MD, in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.02 and Lorraine Graham, MD, in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.09.
Rhode Island Classic: 4 of the top 7 girls 1600 meter times in the nation were set at this meet. Brianne Bellon, NY, won the race with a time of 5:01.98c for US#3. Molly McNamara, NJ, was 2nd with a US#5 5:03.03c, Lindsay Crevoiserat, CT, was 3rd with a US#6 5:03.28c, and Keelin Hollowood, NY, was 4th with a US#7 time of 5:03.32c. Armory Youth/Open/Masters Holiday Classic: Ayanna Fields, PA, won the 800 meter run with a US#2 time of 2:18.49.

Robert J. Burdette Classic: Wallace Spencer, PA, won the 60 meter hurdles with a US#2 time of 8.17. Brooke Hamscher, PA, won the pole vault with a US#2 jump of 11-9.
Seton Hall Games: Keith Griffith III, NJ, is the first under 50 with a US#1 400 meter dash time of 49.73.

Marine Corps Holiday Classic: Carlton Lavong, PA, is back on top in a big way with a 24-05 long jump to put a big gap on US#2 Rolyce Boston, NY, 22-9. Emily Lipari, NY, is back from injury to post a blazing US#1 800 meter run time of 2:13.58. Newburgh, NY, boys set a pair of US#1 times in the 4x200 relay, 1:29.26, and the 4x400, 3:21.79. North Shore, NY, girls also set a pair of US#1 times in the 4x800, 9:35.22, and the DMR, 12:11.42. St. Anthony's, NY, set a US#1 mark in the DMR with a time of 10:29.39. Abington, PA, is now US#1 in the 4x800 with the nation's only sub-8 time, a 7:59.75. Bishop Ford, NY, girls won the SMR with a US#1 time of 4:08.97 and Willingsboro, NJ, won the 4x400 with a US#1 time of 3:59.62. |
MSTCA Boston Holiday Invitational: Pat Schellberg, NJ, won the one mile run with a US#1 4:16.82 to state his case for a Millrose berth. John Thomas, NY, won the 400 with a US#1 50.30 and the 200 with a US#1 21.85. Mark Vetere, MA, went 15-6 to vault himself to US#2 in the pole vault. Byron Jones, MA, ran a US#3 4:19.79c for 1600 meters for the win. Dominic Filiano, NH, threw big in the shot for a US#2 mark of 61-1.5, the only other mark besides Vena's over 60'. Sam Bombaugh, MA, finished 2nd with a US#3 mark of 58-7.75. |
Boo Williams High School Winter Break Invitational: A fast boys 200 meter dash highlights the action on day one with US#2-US#4 times in the event. Walter Mitchell, VA, won with a time of 22.45, Taylor Sykes, VA, was 2nd in 22.67, and Justin Lord, GA, went 22.74 in the prelims. Telara Denmark(Photo by Brandon Miles, MileStat.com), VA, went US#1 in the triple jump with a mark of 37-9.5, but she had some competition in Camille Thomas, VA, who went US#2 37-9.0.
Upstate NY Holiday Classic: Melissa Kurzdorfer, NY, sets a US#1 mark in the shot put with a NY State Record throw of 48-9.75.
TFCAofGP Meet #3: Carlton Lavong, Methacton PA, set a new US#1 mark in the triple jump with his leap of 47-8.25. Matt Gilmore, Cheltenham PA, also set a US#3 mark in the 200 meter dash with his blazing 22.78. |
