The Stars Come Out in Boston at New Balance Nationals Indoor

Jake Odey-Jordan of Archbishop Carroll (DC) claimed victory in the Boys 200m, running 20.90 to tie for 14th all-time and earn the New '25 US #1 ranking. Jesse Myers of State College (PA) followed in 20.99, tying for 23rd all-time as New '25 US #4. Kyler Brown of Booker T. Washington won the Boys 60m in 6.61, tying for 5th all-time, while Cole Isaac Cramer of Southern Regional finished in 6.62, tying for 7th. Isaiah Whitaker of Bloomington, IL, won the Boys Pole Vault with a meet-record clearance of 5.45m (17'10.50"), surpassing the previous record of 5.40m set in 2023.

Crater (OR) made history in the Boys 4xMile Relay, becoming one of only three teams to break 17 minutes with a 16:59.08, the #3 all-time mark. Josiah Tostenson secured the Boys 2-Mile title in 8:46.09, just ahead of Aiden Monistere's 8:46.78, ranking as U.S. No. 2. Ryan Buskey broke the meet record in the Boys High Jump, clearing 7'1" (2.16m) to surpass the previous 7'0.5" (2.15m) mark from 2023. St. John's College High School set a meet record in the Boys 4x800m, clocking 7:37.52, now ranking as the #2 all-time indoor performance in U.S. high school history.

Elise Cooper of McDonogh (MD) dominated the Girls 200m at New Balance Nationals, clocking 22.64 to secure the New '25 US #1 ranking and become the second-fastest all-time performer, trailing only Adaejah Hodge's 22.33 from 2023. Lisa Raye of West Warwick (RI) finished second in 23.00, ranking as New '25 US #3. The Girls Mile saw a deep field, with Brooke Strauss of Connecticut winning in 4:39.53, earning the New '25 US #3 spot. Claire Stegall (TN) followed in 4:39.89 (New '25 US #4), with Hanne Thomsen (CA) in 4:40.58 (New '25 US #5). Chloe Huyler (OR) took fourth in 4:40.66 (New '25 US #6), Sophia Bendet (TX) finished in 4:42.05 (New '25 US #8), and Mallory Weller (IN) rounded out the top six in 4:42.13 (New '25 US #9).

Emmry Ross of Onsted (MI) set a meet record in the Girls 800m, leading from the 400m mark to finish in 2:03.00, ranking 6th all-time. Makenna Herbst of Carlsbad (CA) placed second in 2:03.83, breaking the previous meet record and ranking 8th all-time. Union Catholic Reg. won the Girls DMR in 11:38.03, the second-fastest time in the nation this season. Middle schooler Mackenzie Skelly made history in the indoor mile, running 4:48.97 to break the national record and shatter the previous mark of 4:51.19 from 2023.
