US #1 Grant Fisher made his season debut with a 15:22 win at the Jackson Invitational, which is 12 seconds faster than his 2013 win in the same meet. The defending Foot Locker National champion will be looking to match up his great record of major wins with some fast times this fall including blow his 15:02 5K PR out of the water.
Michigan's other national elite runner in US #6 ranked Audrey Belf breezed to win by a fully minute in 17:27 with her Birmingham Seaholm teammate Rachel Dadamio next closest at 18:27. The US #13 Birmingham Seaholm girls continue to look to be at another level than any team in their state with 33 points and 18:41 team average (5K).
