Kyra Hunsberger (Reno NV)
A three-time Nevada state runner-up in cross country and track as a freshmen, Kyra Hunsberger is ready to pick up her first of many state titles this fall. The Reno High School rising sophomore is coming off a 9th grade year which included consistently fast times with PR's of 4:56 in the 1600, 10:40 in the 3200, and 18:12 for 5K. Hunsberger was not far off qualifying for Foot Locker Nationals last year in her 14th place finish at the West Regional. She has some leg speed too as shown with a 2:15 in the open 800 and will try to use that kick to a state title and national berth in the fall.
