A list of both current and past Virginia high school stars competing this upcoming weekend (June 23-26) at the USATF Junior Nationals to be held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Western Branch's Keilah Tyson is actually the lone current high school athlete from Virginia competing in the meet (in conjunction with her competing as well at the Nike Team Nationals with her Western Branch squad). The Virginia high school state record holder in the 100 and 200 meter dash, who will be headed to the Unversity of Kentucky in the fall, will be competing in the 100 meter dash and long jump at Hayward Field. Tyson is seeded fourth in the 100 meter dash with her 11.39 state meet record breaking and importantly wind legal performance, while she should also be in the hunt for the top 2 automatic spots on the US national team for the Pan Am Junior Games in the long jump as well since she went 20'7" earlier in the season.
