Distance
In the short distances, Jane Hickey (Ursuline) enters her first major Outdoor Invitational, after a breakout Indoor Season. A former year round Soccer player, Hickey split 2:09 Indoors for the 800m, and now will try to match that in the open event. A veteran leads the mile, as Zariel Macchia (Floyd) takes on freshman phenom Adriana Pettinelli (Scarsdale). Lastly, another freshman leads the field in the 3k, as Malina Santee (Greeley) hops up in distance to battle Aislinn Frazer (Friends' Academy).
The boys can match the girls talent and depth. The 800m is headlined by Ryan Boldi (Manhasset), who helped lead his 4x800m Relay to an Indoor Title. He'll face off against Michael Huebner (Shoreham-Wading River), both entrants coming in under 1:54. At double the distance, the mile features sophomore Ryan Sykes (Greeley), who will take on Indoor 1000m Champ D'Angelo Brown (Xavier), a rare move up in distance. Saratoga's Owen Blaisdell, Darren Pasek, and Thomas Isenovski saving it for the 3200m exclusively, where they'll take on Indoor Champ Jon Seyfert (Ward Melville).
