Wilkinson Makes High Jump History
---
Nickiah Wilkinson of Bayside HS (FL) made a significant mark in high school track and field history at the Harmony Invitational with an outstanding high jump of 2.27m (7-5.25). This incredible leap not only places him at the top of the Florida all-time rankings but also positions him as the 4th highest outdoor jumper in U.S. high school history. Wilkinson's previous personal best was 2.13m (6-11.75), which he set at last year's 3A Regionals, where he also claimed the title of FHSAA 3A state high jump champion. With this new jump, Wilkinson has now shattered the longstanding 33-year-old Florida state record of 2.20m (7-02.50), which had been set by Sam Hill of New Smyrna Beach High School in 1992.
