The Circuit: Philadelphia delivered a series of standout performances, with athletes from across the country posting national-caliber marks and breaking records.
On the boys' side, Corbin Coombs stole the show in the mile, breaking his own New Mexico state record with a time of 4:01.62. The senior now ranks as the 16th-fastest indoor miler in high school history. Behind him, Keegan Smith ran 4:04.81, securing a US #8 time, while Jack Anstrom finished in 4:10.46 for a US #18 ranking.
Jayden Horton-Mims and Connor Salmin battled in the 200m, with Horton-Mims taking the win in 21.06, the fifth-fastest time in the country this season. Salmin followed closely, clocking 21.24 for a US #8 time. Horton-Mims doubled back in the 400m, taking another victory with a US #5 time of 46.77.
The 800m produced one of the closest finishes of the day, as Zion Omotesa edged out Keenan Frisby and Andrew Thornton-Sherman. Omotesa crossed the line in 1:51.15, ranking ninth in the nation, while Frisby finished in 1:51.33 (US #11) and Thornton-Sherman just behind in 1:51.37 (US #13).
The girls' sprints saw equally impressive performances, particularly in the 200m, where Maryland's Elise Cooper and Sydney Sutton posted the second- and third-fastest times in the country this season. Cooper took the win in 23.04, followed by Sutton in 23.24. Jasmine Cook was also in the mix, running 23.95, which ranks 21st nationally. All three sprinters joined an exclusive group of just 24 high school girls to break 24 seconds this indoor season.
In the 400m, Tatum Lynn clocked 54.66 for a US #17 time, narrowly finishing ahead of Nevaeh Burns, who ran 54.77 for a US #21 mark.
With numerous top-ranked performances and thrilling head-to-head battles, The Circuit: Philadelphia once again proved to be a showcase for elite talent on the national stage.
