At the ASICS Clovis XC Invitational, Crater's Josiah Tostenson claimed the boys' individual title with a stellar 14:41.30, leading his team alongside third-place finisher Tayvon Kitchen. Arnold O. Beckman (SS) secured a thrilling team victory with 83 points, overcoming MileSplit top 25 teams Crater and Jesuit (SJ). On the girls' side, Sadie Engelhardt of Ventura dazzled with a record-breaking 16:24.20, the #1 time nationally this season, while Buchanan (CS) triumphed in the team competition with a dominant 65-point performance and a tight 31-second 1-5 split. October 25th:
The 76th Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational delivered standout performances on its iconic, challenging course. South Pasadena's Abigail Errington ran the fastest girls' 3-mile time of the meet in 16:57, leading her team to a narrow victory in the Division 3 Blue race. On the boys' side, Trey Caldwell of De La Salle remained undefeated this season, clocking the meet's fastest boys' time of 14:46 to win the Boys D1 & D2 Sweepstakes. Team titles went to Arnold O. Beckman in the Boys D1 & D2 Sweepstakes and St. Francis (CC) in the Girls D1 & D2 Sweepstakes, with both teams showcasing depth and strong pack running.
October 30th:
Another year, another Jane Hedengren state title! In her final cross-country race on Utah soil, the senior picked up the ninth state title of her prep career, and her third consecutive title on the grass. The future BYU Cougar needed just 16:21.5 to make her way throughout the 3-mile course, winning by over a minute ahead of teammate Lily Alder.
