11. Great Oak (CA)
Analysis: Let's get things straight. Great Oak is really good, and when everyone crosses the finish line, they're the best team in California. However, at the ASICS Cool Breeze Invitational, top returner Westin Brown was absent from the results. Without their experienced frontrunner, the Wolfpack had to settle for second behind ML King, but still put together a strong performance despite the circumstances. For those that don't know, Brown broke his foot last fall but returned in time to put together a great track campaign riddled with personal bests.
If they're firing on all cylinders, this team is a multi-faceted machine that can beat you in a number of ways, and they won't shy away from shining when the stakes get immeasurably high in a month or two.
