14. ML King (CA)
Analysis: Last weekend, one of the top teams on the West Coast opened up their slate of racing with a statement win over perennial power Great Oak. To be honest, it wasn't even close. The Wolves had 45 points separating themselves from the 2023 Division I runner-up, and four runners ahead of Great Oak's number two runner, respectively.
Both Maximo Zavaleta and Brad Quezada only needed one race to dip under 15:00 for three miles, and Logan Carlson and Alex Wesolowski finished together in 15:07 and 15:10, giving this squad perhaps one of the strongest top four runners of any team in the country. It's still incredibly early in the season, but over the next few months, this group needs to find a way to close the gap between their fourth and fifth runners because one could argue that's the only thing that could potentially hinder any chance of a trip to NXN.
