2023 Notable XC Finishes: 2nd at the TSSAA State Cross Country Championships with a personal best time in the 5K of 14:52.52, 19th at the NXR Southwest Regional, 24th at the Great-American XC Festival, and 1st at the Front Runner Athletics Chattanooga Area Championship.
Analysis: It was a banner cross country year in 2023 for Jack Bowen, with the then-junior finishing second at the TSSAA State Cross Country Championships for the second year in a row, this time with a new PR of 14:52.52 to finish second by just a second. At the NXR Southwest Regional, Bowen placed 19th overall with a time of 15:14.80. The McCallie standout also won three other meets last season and returns as the #2 ranked returner in Tennessee.
It was also a standout track and field season for Bowen this year, setting new PRs in the 800m (1:55.39), the 1600m (4:09.69, and the 3200m (8:56.17).
