Over the last three years, Hillsborough (FL) graduate Erriyon Knighton has solidified himself as one of the fastest sprinters in the world.

After collecting a pair of World Championship medals in 2022 and 2023, the 20-year-old is chasing his first Olympic medal after punching his ticket to Paris 2024 in the 200m -- in 2021, as a 17-year-old, Knighton reached the Olympics in Tokyo and finished fourth in the final.

Last month, Knighton clocked a time of 19.77 in the 200m to finish third at the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials, joining Noah Lyles and Kenny Bednarek on the U.S. team.

But let's take it all the way back to 2020.

Just a year before he was competing at the actual Olympics, Knighton took his talents to the 2020 AAU Junior Olympic Games, where he shattered the 200m meet record and stopped the clock in a blistering time of 20.33 seconds.

That performance was not only a meet record, but it was also a national lead. Knighton won by over a second-and-a-half, leaving the field in his wake.

In addition to obliterating the field over 200m, Knighton also won the 100m in 10.29, the third best performance in meet history.
