While Emily Bush put together the nation's No. 1 performance at 3K, the larger story on Saturday may have been Saratoga Springs, which unveiled an array of distance talents across a spectrum of events.
Bush piled on the pace with her 9:28.89 in the 3K, but New Mexico recruit Anya Belisle added a U.S. No. 37 time of 3:01.66 in the 1K and senior Alycia Hart dropped a winning and U.S. No. 4 time of 4:54.20 in the 1,600m.
From there, the young contingent of Yue Tong Ang, Reagan Owen and Zoe Tamvada -- the trio comprised of two middle-schoolers and a freshman -- followed Bush, scoring places of third, fourth and fifth in the 3K.
Saratoga Springs remains among the best girls distance programs in the country, with a handful of talents developing as Bush, Belisle and Hart exit after the year.
From the 4x800 to the DMR, this team could put together some quality relays from this point forward.
