It was a bright and sunny morning on October 12th in 2019. With a slight breeze and temperatures in the low 60s, North Rockland Senior Katelyn Tuohy blasted off from the starting line and dominated the Manhattan College XC Invitational.
As the race unfolded, Tuohy held her ground and began to put distance betwen Fayetteville senior Claire Walters and Tully Junior Brooke Rauber.
Tuohy took home the Eastern States title for the third year in a row, running 13:33.2. It seemed to be an easy win for her since coming off of a knee injury over her junior season. Walters and Rauber were close behind. clocking 13:45.9 and 13:52.1, respectively.
In her post-race interview, Tuohy noted that running is all about pushing herself, helping her teammates.

Later in the year, Tuohy finished her senior season with 10 wins, which included her third straight national championship at Nike Cross Nationals.
