Analysis: Sauro started her season with a bang. She debuted with a new lifetime best for 5K with a time of 16:52 at the Autumn Classic.
She added six straight wins on 5K courses, including a WVSSAC state title, and then finished 10th at Champs Sports South, qualifying for nationals. She proceeded to finish ninth overall at Champs Sports Nationals.
On the track, she won three West Virginia state championships in the 800m, 1,600m and 3,200m. She also competed at The Penn Relays in the 3K, where she clocked a 9:49 to finish ninth. At the RunningLane Track Championships, Sauro completed the 3,200m with a time of 10:11.
