2022 Notable Finishes: 12th at Nike Cross Nationals in 15:00.90; 2nd at the NXR Northeast in 15:36.10; 1st at Phillips Exeter Invitational in 15:38.00.
Analysis: Four races. Grevious raced just four times over the 2022 season, winning his first meet in 15:29.00, his second at Phillips Exeter Academy in 15:38.00, and then it was off to the NXR Northeast Region, where he clocked a time of 15:36.10 at Van Cortlandt Park to finish second overall, qualifying for his first national championship.
Sometimes, experience is less of a requirement and more of a value-add for athletes like Grevious, who went right into NXN and dominated, finishing 12th overall to claim an All-American finish in 15:00.90.
Grevious followed up his outdoor campaign with a 4:07.85 mile and a 5K best of 14:04.44, which was third best in the nation. He didn't let his foot off the gas.
Perhaps expect more of that unpredictably from Grevious in 2023. We might not see him much, but he'll certainly make an impact at the highest levels.
