It will be anyone's race in the boys 3K.
The University of Pennsylvania commit Rory Lieberman of Danville (PA) will return to Penn Relays as the top returner. Last season, he finished seventh in the field with an 8:35.75.
Lining up next to Lieberman will be Harvard signee Charlie Ortmans. The VISAA cross country state champion will compete at the carnival for the first time. Ortman's been going up and down throughout the season, but how he looked at the Arcadia Invitational, he can put together a solid race ahead of Penn Relays. He finished with a lifetime best in the 3,200m with a 8:54.32.
Andrew McGonigle, Nate Boutin, and Joe Barrett will be in the mix for the title Friday evening.
