Newbury Park's Aaron Sahlman, officially competing unattached on Saturday at the Oregon Relays, secured his best performance to date in the men's professional mile.

Sahlman finished fourth in the field, behind Johnny Gregorek, Kieran Lamb and Matt Wisner.
Around the track on Friday, Crater's Tyrone Gorze came up short on a national record attempt in the 2-mile, but he entered into the top 35 performances all-time and wracked up a new U.S. No. 1 time of 8:46.50. He followed on Saturday in the boys mile and clocked a time of 4:08.30.
Lake Oswego's Mia Brahe-Pedersen, eyeing up top times of her own, ran a wind-legal 11.35 (-0.2) in the 100m.
In the pole vault, Capital's (WA) Hana Moll cleared 14-7.25.
In the boys 800m, Roosevelt's (OR) William Heslam ran 1:49.79.
