*Hobbs Kessler reflected on his indoor mile national record for the On the Line podcast

The indoor mile national record holder Hobbs Kessler ran an impressive two-mile race over this weekend at the NSAF Meet of Champions. This was his first two-mile race of his career and he finished with a time of 8:39.04.
Not only is this the fastest time in the country, but it also ranks No. 4 on all All-Time National High School list. Lukas Verzbicas, German Fernandez and Jeff Nelson are the three gentlemen who have run faster than Kessler. Kessler surpassed Matt Centrwotiz, Drew Hunter and Grant Fisher on the all-time list.
In the girl's two-mile, Birmingham Seaholm's (MI) Audrey Dadamio ran a 10:23.08 to win the event over Riley Stewart and Angelina Perez who finished in 10:27.96 and 10:33.86 respectively.

In the 100m, both the boy and girl winners set personal best to take the title. Fairview's (CO) Gavin Schurr ran a wind-legal personal best of 10.36. On the girl's side, Autumn Wilson won a close final in 11.51. It came down to the wire, but Wilson was able to edge out Taejha Badal by .06.
Riley Ammenhauser leaped over the competition to win the triple jump in 40-9. Rieko Wilford of Curtis Senior (WA) came in second by four and a half inches. This was Ammenhauser's fourth triple jump competition and her second furthest jump of the season.
