Sloan Takes 1-on-1 Battle With Stark
- - -
One of the top matchups of the spring season came on Friday in the 100mH.
Rock Canyon (CO) graduate and Oregon recruit Emily Sloan met White Lake Lakeland (MI) junior Grace Stark for the first time over the outdoor season.
While Stark was coming off a Michigan state record at the event and a US No. 2 mark of 13.16 seconds, Sloan wasn't going to give in easily.
Despite getting off to a shaky stark, Sloan recovered and started to flourish in the final moments, passing Stark for a winning time of 13.55 (-1.1) seconds.
Stark was second in 13.61.
