Girls Pole Vault
Why: The top two athletes in the pole vault are both knocking on the door of 14 feet. Gregory-Portland's (TX) Riley Floerke vaulted 13-9 at the Region 4-5A Meet. She no-heighted in the Class 5A UIL Track and Field Championship so she will be looking to come back for redemption and a chance at 14 feet this weekend. The other athlete who is a little further off the 14-foot mark is Taylor's (TX) Anna Cathryn who vaulted 13-3 to win the Class 4A UIL Track and Field Championship. We should be a good head-to-head battle between these two athletes.
