Lockport Township High School's (IL) John Meyer is the nation's top shot put athlete. He's thrown over 70 feet during both the indoor and outdoor seasons this year. He's currently the outdoor national leader with his 70 feet, 6.5-inch throw from the Southwest Suburban Boys Conference Championship. In this early-season workout, he practiced both proper shot and discus throwing technique and gets in a lift.
