The Top 10 Freshmen Men To Make An Impact At NCAAs

Reed Brown (Oregon)

Reed Bown was the only high school boy in the class of 2017 to break the four-minute barrier in the mile on the track last spring. Although he has speed on the track, he also can throw down on the grass: he was the 2016 Foot Locker National Champion. He showed consistency and reliability all through high school and he has brought that same consistency to this Oregon squad.

He's been the team's constant fourth man in every race since the NCAA Division I (DI) Pre-Nationals, race where he placed 32nd overall. At the Pac 12 Cross Country Championships, he finished 31st overall and fourth for Oregon, and then again at the NCAA DI West Regional he was 42nd overall and fourth for Oregon. Watch for him to make a big impact on Oregon's scoring this weekend.
