4. Glenn Loucks Was a Show in New York
One of the best pre-state meets in the state of New York took place in White Plains, New York, over the weekend.
The 50th running of the three-day meet included over 250 elite performances, including a big win from Halle Hazzard in the girls 200m (24.43), a stellar run in the girls 3200m from Jackie Gaughan (10:05.71), a photo finish from Kristie Schoffield and Leya Salis in the 800m (2:08.49-2:08.59) and a US No. 1 time from Zakeer Ahmad in the boys 3200m (8:58.86).
Saratoga Springs (NY) High sophomore Kelsey Chmiel? She had arguably the best three days of any athlete, logging a US No. 3 time in the 3200m (9:59.62) and contributing to her team's win and US No. 1 time in the DMR (11.41.57) -- beating North Rockland.
