Watch Tyrese Cooper clock 45.45 for 400m.

Tyrese Cooper Robbed Of National Record?

For Florida and Texas, the end of February means the start of outdoor track season. Sophomore phenom Tyrese Cooper recorded his name at the top of the national leaderboard already in the 400m by clocking 45.45 at the Louie Bing Classic.

He also took second to Anthony Schwartz in the 100m and ran US #3 10.7 (-1.2) in the prelims, and was well on his way to a national leader in the 200m when he was reportedly disqualified for taunting his competitors. @FLrunners tweeted that Cooper ran 20.44, but there is no official record of his time.
