All The Favorites Win in Texas
The biggest meet in Texas this weekend was the Marcus I Invitational outside of Dallas, where several ranked teams and individuals made an appearance.
No. 6 ranked Reed Brown won the individual title in 15:14.44, just two seconds faster than unranked sophomore Alex Maier of Flower Mound. Reed's win led Southlake Carroll, ranked No. 16 in the pre-season, to easily defeat Flower Mound in the team battle, 58 points to 179 points. The Dragons placed their top four in the top 15, with No. 5 Charles Gardner placing 24th overall.

In the girls battle, No. 10 ranked Ashton Endsley pulled away in the final stages of the 5K to win in 17:47.43 over Adoette Vaughn (17:52.8) and Elizabeth Reneau (17:54.2). In fourth place was junior Abbey Santoro, who led No. 23 ranked Keller to the team title over Southlake Carroll, 64 to 77 points. Keller boasted an impressive top three in the top eight overall finishers (see below) as their No. 4 Vera Thompson was 23rd in 19:10.17 and No. 5 Makenna Pallozi was 32nd in 19:31.37.
