How big of an upset was this? Halladay didn't even have a MileSplit profile before the meet! She beat out Utahn high schoolers Courtney Wayment (17th at NXN) and Sara Musselman (4th in Utah 1600/9th at NXN SW) by leading from the gun and throwing in a strong kick when she smelled even the faintest challenge over the last 500 meters. The eighth grader ran 4:53 at altitude, and she knows she can go faster.
