2. Brandee' Johnson and Breanne Bygrave over Tonea Marshall
Coming into the race, Marshall was ranked US #2 in the 60 hurdles, while Bygrave was sitting at #12 in the nation. And yes, Johnson was #2 and Bygrave was #4 in the 55 hurdles--but Johnson's 7.82 in the 55 converts to roughly 8.52 in the 60, which would have been tied for tenth in the country. Johnson (from Virginia) and Bygrave (of North Carolina) upended the Texan Marshall, who's still ranked second in the nation. Johnson has moved up to #9, and while Bygrave is still #12, we now know she can run with the nation's best.
