2. Conor Lundy, Sammy Watson Successfully Switch it Up At New Balance


With the boys high school mile cancelled, Conor Lundy of Fordham Prep made lemonade and jumped in the pro mile at the Armory on Sunday. He was rewarded with a time or 4:08.25, a new PR and national leader in the mile.

Per MileSplit NY, that makes him the third fastest indoor miler in New York history and a top 30 performer in US history. Here are some specific and sectarian stats:

Sammy Watson--who was originally scheduled for a 500 meter showdown with Sarah Walker--won the 300 in 39.34 seconds, a new PR by about a quarter second.

The Rush Henrietta Sperry junior is now US #4 in the 300, #1 in the 400, #2 in the 600, and #18 in the mile. We can't wait to watch her run the 800.
