Ryen Frazier Crushes Course Record In N.C. State Debut
Another high-level recruit that chose to stay close to home made her much-anticipated N.C. State debut, and what an impressive one it was, as Wolfpack freshman Ryen Frazier won the adidas XC Challenge on Friday in a stunning 16:06 5K PR, which bettered the previous course record by 22-seconds.

Last year's Foot Locker XC runner-up enters her freshman campaign after a stunning senior track season that saw her run 4:38 in the mile 10:05 for 3200m, as well as becoming just the second girl in history to complete the distance triple at New Balance Outdoor Nationals, winning the mile, 2-mile, and 5,000m all in one weekend. It's none other than Frazier's older sister Wesley, who transferred to N.C. State after originally attending Duke. The elder Frazier finished second to her younger sister on Friday in 16:28 running unattached.
Ryen Frazier and her #12 Wolfpack will next travel to South Bend for the Notre Dame XC Invite, where Frazier will get her first collegiate matchup against Rohrer.
