Anna Sophia Keller (St. Anthony IL)
Anna Sophia Keller won two Illinois state titles as freshmen including cross country and the 1600 meter run outdoors with a fantastic year start to finish. The St. Anthony rising sophomore Keller clocked a 16:35 performance on the historic Detweiler Park course in her Illinois 1A state championship victory to springboard to a track season which included more swift times with a 4:52 1600 and 10:22 3200. Only Colorado state champ Lauren Gregory ran faster nationally among all freshmen in the 3200 than Keller. In one of her few races out-of-state, Keller finished 6th at the NXN Midwest Regional race and just missed making it to nationals. She aims to qualify for the national meet this fall as one of the top runners returning in the Midwest Regional.
