Fayetteville-Manlius (NY) is looking quite good headed into the NXN finals with an 8th straight title on the line.
Saucony Elite 50 Team Girls | Week 12
*Editor's Note: The Saucony Elite 50 refers to the top-50 teams in the country (25 boys and 25 girls)
It's the final week for the Girls team rankings as we contest the Nike national championships this weekend at Portland Meadows in Oregon.
The California state meet was certainly one to remember this year! Great Oak lived up to promise and won the girls team title with 76 points. Davis was 2nd with 149, Trabuco Hills was 3rd with 154 and Capistrano Valley was 4th with 157. Simi Valley got the best of Saugus in D2, but just barely as the score was 97 to 102. Redondo Union was 3rd with 137 while La Costa Canyon finished 4th with 139. Great Oak, Simi Valley and Davis move on to Nike Nationals this weekend.
At the Nike New York regional there were certainly no surprises. Fayetteville-Manlius (NY) is back to their dominate selves, winning the team title with a mere 32 points over Saratoga Springs with 88 points.
The Nike Northeast regional was no surprise either as the favorites moved on to nationals. Unionville (PA) won the team title with 85 points and Pennsbury grabbed the other auto spot with 101 points.
The girls of Assumption (KY) won the team title at the Nike Southeast regional and will be joined at nationals by Virginia power Blacksburg (VA).
