Saucony Elite 50 Team Boys | Week 2

Christian Brothers Academy is back this year with a score to settle after a disappointing finish at NXN last year.  But they will be in for another great battle.  Boy will they ever as several teams around the country have shown they are serious about XC this year!

Gig Harbor, WA, has arguably the best top-4 in the country with some impressive performances over the past several weeks.  At the Sundodger Invite Mahmoud Moussa, Wolfgang Beck, Tristan Peloquin and Logan Carroll were 0.1 seconds apart at 3-6 in the race and then backed it up at the Bob Firman Invite by crushing North Central 63 to 149!  Watch these guys as they move to US#2 overall!

York, IL, made an impressive case for dominance and moves to US#5 after winning the Richard Springs Invite over US#22 O'Fallon with 82 points to 147 with a 38 second spread.  Also making moves were Carmel, IN, and Brentwood, TN, who tied with 88 points at the Trinity/Valkyrie Invite with Carmel winning the 6th-man tiebreak.  

The last very impressive performance came from North Allegheny, PA, who rolled over a very hilly layout at the PIAA Foundation Invite and finished with 31 points and a startling 16 second spread and 16:33 average.  For reference, Henderson and O'Hara averaged 16:25 on the course in November last year and qualified for NXN that year.  Watch out when they go head to head with other nationally ranked squads.  

As the season rolls along we will surely see other teams rise up in a bid to become one of the nations best.
