Saucony Elite 50 Team Girls | Week 2

*Editor's Note: The Saucony Elite 50 refers to the top-50 teams in the country (25 boys and 25 girls).

Another week is in the books and girls teams from around the country are not showing any sign of slowing down! Making a big move this week were the girls from Carmel, IN who jumped to #3 after an impressive showing at the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational in KY.  The girls of Carmel scored a mere 24 points with a 40 second spread and an 18:16.28 average!  Simi Valley, CA, continues to dominate behind the strength of Sarah Baxter and found themselves winners again at the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic.

Another big mover in the rankings were Davis, UT, who shot up to #4 after running over the field at the Bob Firman Invitational in Idaho with 51 points and a quick 38 second spread and 18:37.56 average.

Three big Michigan squads seems to be battling each other and improving each week with Saline taking down Northville this week at the Jackson Invitational by a very close margin of 37 to 42 and Seaholm dominating the Centerville Stampede in OH with a point total of 34.  This will certainly be interesting to watch as the prior weekend at the MSU Spartan Invitational the order was Northville, Seaholm, Saline.
