Last fall, they finished 21st out of 22 teams at Nike Cross Nationals, but they are bringing back a talented core that is set to make an impact this year. The team excelled throughout the season, securing a second-place finish at the OSAA State Championships and winning the NXR Northwest Regional.
Key returnees include sophomore Ellery Lincoln, who finished second at state with a time of 18:17.0; senior Sophia Malinoski, who placed 10th at state with a time of 18:43.1; junior Elyse Henriksen, who took 14th at state with a time of 19:05.6; and senior Sam Reid, who finished 32nd at state with a time of 19:37.8. With this strong lineup, the Lincoln girls are well-positioned to build on their successes and aim for even greater achievements in the upcoming season.
