Senior Hayden Clark of Palmetto Ridge High School claimed victory at the 2024 FHSAA 3A District 7 meet, narrowly defeating Dillard High School's senior Joshua Gammage. In a sprint to the finish, Gammage attempted to surge to overtake Clark, but Clark powered through to maintain his lead, finishing 16:28.90 to 16:30.10.
