Kole Mathison (Carmel, IN) got the lead at the 1.5-mile split and the rest was history as the senior rolled to victory in the 43rd CHAMPS Sports XC Nationals at Morley Field in San Diego. Mathison ran the 5K layout in 14:56.6 to beat Noah Breker (15:07.5) and Samuel Hansen (15:07.7).
