The 33rd annual Simplot Games in Pocatello, ID, are set to begin on Thursday.
Ryan Crouser, OR, launched a monster 77-02.75 on his 5th throw to crush his own National record, set at 75-03.50 during his 2nd throw. Shelby Ashe broke her own record in the weight throw & Brad Nye won the guys' version. Qualification in the1600M saw Brad Nye & Alice Keller head the action, while Dylan Morin & Kelse Braithwaite led the way in the longer event.
Saturday is the big day of Simplot and several Colorado athletes remain alive for Saturday's finals.
There may never have been a bigger day in Simplot history, but Colorado has seen bigger days at Simplot.
