Loxsom joins fellow Nittany Lion Evonne Britton (El Paso, Texas) on the list of Penn State athletes on the medal stand at the Championships, after Britton turned in a third-place effort in the 400-meter hurdles yesterday afternoon.

The 2010 graduate of Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach, Hunter qualified for the finals of the long jump with the fifth best mark in Tuesday's preliminary flights. In the finals, Hunter was unable to improve upon his mark and place from the prelims with a best mark on Wednesday of 24'7" to finish sixth overall against the best junior athletes (ages 19 & under) in the entire World. Hunter now heads to Knoxville, Tennessee where he will take his multi-sport talents to the University of Tennessee and figures to be star in both football and track & field for the Volunteers.
