(All Running event finals will be done in sections).
Scoring and Timing:
Scoring and timing will be conducted by Atlantic Coast Timing Systems using Fully Automated Timing (FAT).
The top six places will award points (10-8-6-4-2-1).
Entries:
Entries for the Regional Championship must be submitted to Milestat.com by Sunday May 25th at 9:00pm. NO CHANGES shall be made after May 25th.
Please make sure that your entries are submitted by the deadline date to ensure accuracy and that all entries are entered into the system.
Coaches Meeting:
No additions will be allowed at this meeting. Only deletions and name corrections will be allowed.
Equipment:
Each team is responsible for providing their own shot, discus, baton. VHSL recommends that each athlete have their own school supplied shot/discus. Sussex Central High School will provide starting blocks. All competitors must use quarter inch pyramid spikes or flats while competing. Violations of maximum length or different shaped spikes will result in disqualification.
Disqualification:
Competitors shall be disqualified from his/her event if a coach or team member is found to be in a restricted area designated for competition. All non-competing athletes are not to be on the infield, unless checking in for their respective events.
Coaches are not allowed in the infield. Athletes can only enter during check-in for running events unless they are competing in a field event.
Awards:
A team championship trophy will be awarded to the top boys' and girls' team only. The awarding of medals is TBD.
NOTE: The top four finishers in each event and top four relays will qualify for respective state championships automatically and all athletes who have met the state qualifying mark.
