Re: Track and Field Almont League Prelims and Finals
The
Track League meeting will take place Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 4:00pm on Google Meet. This is an opportunity for the coaches to review and discuss
possible changes or language in the Almont League Constitution. A copy of the constitution that pertains to Track will be provided at the meeting. Or it is encouraged for you to request a copy from your Athletic Director, Please go over the constitution prior to the
meeting.
Please
have your entries done by Midnight, Monday, April 21st at 6:00PM. on ca.milesplit.com. Below
are a set of instructions on filling out the entries and other general
Information.
1. Each
school is entitled to four entries per level in every event and one relay team.
2. Marks
submitted should be from league competition only.
3. List grade level, first, and last names of all members of the relay teams.

Prelims all running Events (except relays and 3200 meters)

for all field events, levels and divisions - except pole vault
Only
three attempts per athlete, and to conserve time to the Top Flight in each Field
event will go first, leaving the last mark as the 9th qualifying mark, in which the rest of the flights will have to pass that mark to be
measured if a new qualifying mark is established then that will
be the new mark that the proceeding flights will have to pass to be measured.
QUALIYFING FROM PRELIMS TO FINALS
Running events 2 Heat Races First 2 Winners + Next 7 places
3 Heat Races First 3 Winners + Next 6 places
Field Events Top 9 Marks go to Finals
All relays and 3200's are Finals
SCRATCHES:A Scratch meeting will follow the league
prelims. It would be vary helpful if
coaches had an idea ahead of time of which athletes they are going to scratch. This will help the meeting move quickly. It is very important that you seed your
athletes as accurately as possible. No
additions or substitutions will be allowed past the seeding meeting. This includes the field and 3200's which are
finals. ALL SEEDS ARE FINAL
THE SCRATCH DEADLINE
FROM PREMILS TO FINALS IS WEDNESDAY, April 30th.
Friday, May 2nd, 2025, 3:30pm at San Gabriel High School
League Finals for all Running Events, Levels and Divisions
League Finals for all Field Events, Levels and Divisions
On Friday after the meet we will meet at the finish line to discuss CIF entries and select all the athletes of the meet. The League Championship Awards and all League Finals Medals will be presented after the scores are totaled. All medals will be placed in team bags any extra medals or mistakes could be taken care of at the CIF Prelims.
It would be greatly appreciated if the meet management was supplied with rosters of all finalist and relay entrants with the following information before we begin the finals on Friday;
LAST NAME - FIRST NAME - GRADE
WORKING ON ASSIGNMENTS
FOR THE PRELIMS AND FINALS TRACK MEETS
Each
school is responsible for supplying 2 adult workers for both
prelims and finals. Each assignment pays
$60.00 per day. Please bring the names
of your workers and any references they might have to the events they are able to work to the seeding meeting. It would be helpful if they could work both
days.
