2025 Morgan-McClure Invitational

Coaches will be required to help run field events, hurdle/block crew, and exchange zones for relays. Work assignments will be sent out on May 6th. This help is greatly appreciated and will ensure that the meet stays on schedule and runs efficiently. 

When entering the meet, you must enter each individual athlete on your team in the events that they will be competing in. Your athletes will not be entered into the meet if you only add your school name to the list.

Event starting heights and field event minimums will be determined after the scratch deadline on May 2nd.

SANCTION: This meet is sanctioned for Virginia teams. All athletes must be a current member of their high school team and must be accompanied by a coach from that team. All schools must be a member of a State Association that is a member of the NFHS or an approved association.

Entry Deadline: Tuesday, May 6th at 8:00 PM

Entries: 4 athletes per individual events, 1 relay team per relay event; all entries must be verified or entered as no time or no distance/height.

Scratches:  Email to Mike Elkins at Michael.Elkins@networktiming.net Any scratch must be received by 12 pm on Tuesday, May 6,

 2025. After the deadline, athletes are declared! After declaration, athletes cannot be scratched from an individual race to be added to a relay. 

*FIELD EVENTS WILL GET 4 ATTEMPTS, WITH NO FINALS *

Uniforms: The NFHS uniform rule will be enforced.  ALL TEAMS must wear their school-issued uniforms. 

Relay teams must have matching uniforms. 

Spikes - 1/4 inch only

Entry fee: will be $100.00 per team.

If you have both a girls and boys team it will be $150.00. Four athletes are considered a team. If you have less than four it will be $15.00 per athlete.

Please make checks payable to Central High School and write Morgan-McClure Invitational on the memo line of the check. You can also bring your payment on the day of the meet.

Awards: Girls and boys team champion and runner up 

Top girls and boys individual scorer

Top 3 individuals and relays

Event winners receive a t-shirt

Admission: $6.00

Concession stand is located beside track behind throwing area. General concession items will be offered.

Restrooms are located at the track entrance.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

4:00 - Packet pick up, weigh in of implements

4:15 - Coaches meeting

4:30 - Boys shot put, girls discus, girls high jump, boys long jump (pit nearest field), and girls triple jump (pit nearest fence)

Followed by Girls shot put, boys discus, boys high jump, boys triple jump (pit nearest field), and girls long jump (pit nearest fence)

Running Events:

Athletes report to the meet clerk by the 2nd call. We encourage everyone to take advantage of the online ability to check performance lists and results provided by the time company. We WILL NOT be responsible for an athlete that misses their heat. They need to check in and stay in the designated area until after their event.

Field events and running events will be happening simultaneously. It is the athlete's responsibility to check themselves in and out of field events with the field event judge to participate in their running event. 

 

Running events will begin at 4:30 as well and will be on a rolling schedule.
