Outdoor Track & Field State Championship

I.GENERALINFORMATION

A.   NFHS outdoor Track& Field rules will apply to the DCSAA Championship unless otherwise noted.(Uniform guidelines will be enforced)

B.   Schools choosing to enter the DCSAA Track & Field State Championship have the responsibility for reading and adhering to the rules and regulations of this bulletin.

C.   Eligibility rules for all participants can be found in DCMRTitle5;Chapter 27 on the DCSAA website(dcsaasports.org).

II.STATEMEET

A.   MeetOrganization

 

1.   Entry

Deadline-Saturday,May 18th   at 11:59pm- NOEXCEPTIONS

 

2.   Teamand

individual contestantsmustbeaccompanied tothemeetbythecoachor

a designated representative.

 

3.   Teamswillbeadmitted

intothestadiumthrough

theteamentrance. a. Teamsarenotpermittedin

thestadiumbefore2:00pm.

 

b.The firstfield

event will begin

at3pm.Runningeventswillbegin at4pmon each

day.

 

4. Thefollowingonlinemethod forentrymustbe used.

a.Directionsfor

entry

(1)Logontomilesplit,thesitehosting

theonline process.

(2)Createa

log

in.

(3)Generateateamrostertoregisterfor events.

 

5. An athletemayparticipatein

amaximumof four

events.

 

7. Starting

blocksWILLBEPERMITTED.Teamsmustbring

their

own

blocks.

 

8. Each schoolmaysubmitthree(3)entriesper individual eventandone(1)teamin each

relay

event.

 

9. Girlswill

precedeboysin thefinalof

all running events.

 

10. Slower sections will

precedethefastsections.

 

11. Fieldevents:High Jump;Shot put;Long

Jump;TripleJump andDiscus.

 

12.Onlyshotsand discusapproved bytheappropriate official

shall be used in thecompetition.

 

13.Participantsin

the

discus,shot put,long jump andtriplejump will

receivefour

attempts-

thiswill bea final.

 

14. Videotapeorotherelectronicrecording

of appealswill

not beaccepted.

B.   Playing

Rules

 

1. All rulesnot modified

hereshall

beinaccordancewith

currentNational Federation rules.

 

a.    Anyteam memberlisted

on the entryformmay participatein anyof

theschool's relayteameventsproviding

themaximum participation

ruleisnotviolated

and that theyareon theentryroster.

 

b.   Anycompetitor whoexceedsthemaximumparticipation

ruleforfeitsfurther

participation

inanyand alltheeventsin

thestateTrack&Field

Meet.

 

c.     Should

a competitor

exceed

themaximum participation

rulewhilecompeting

ina relayteam,theentirerelayteamisexcludedfrom the StateMeet. Theentireteam

will bedisqualified

fromtheeventand

all pointsscored

byindividualsthat exceeded themaximum participationrule will bedeleted fromtheir teams' total.

 

d.   Teamscheckingin

atbullpen for respective

relayracesmustpresentrelaycards

with participants

nameslisted.

 Allrelayteammembersmustcheckin atthesame time.

 

e. In relayeventsno morethan (6)individualsmaybeentered

foreach

relayteam.

 

2. Onlyshoes with

1/4"pyramid

spikesor lessare permitted.

Shoes with hard

plasticspike platesmaynotbewornwithoutspikeinserted.

 

3. Onlyone piece oftape or

mark will bepermitted for relays.

 

4. Orderoftrackevents-Field eventsbegin

at3pm;running eventsbegin at4pmon both
