Annandale's Ahmed Bile with the 800 meter world record holder David Rudisha at the adidas Grand Prix this past weekend Annandale's Ahmed Bile continued to finish his stellar high school career strong with a sixth place finish in a stacked Dream Mile race with many of the nation's best high school distance runners at the adidas Grand Prix this past weekend in New York. The Georgetown University bound Bile was a late addition to the field, but he showed the last second change of plans had no ill effect on his race performance as he ran the third fastest mile time outdoors in Virginia high school history behind only national record holder Alan Webb (3:53.43) of South Lakes ('01) and Sharif Karie (4:02.01) of West Springfield ('97) with his full mile time of 4:04.11 on Saturday. The time converts to a 4:02.69 1600 and 3:46.09 1500, which would be nearly a 6 second PR at 1600 meters for Bile. Next race up for the 7-time Group AA state champion in cross country and track is the 800 meter run at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro this upcoming weekend. Dream Mile Results
