HATTIESBURG, Miss. - It hadn't happened for the Tulane men's cross country program in eight years, but on Saturday at the Southern Miss Dedicated Cross Country Facility when the Green Wave claimed the team title with a stout 16-point performance. The women's squad finished runner-up to the host Golden Eagles to cap the solid day on the course for the program.
DES MOINES, Iowa - Senior Ana Ruzevic capped off her senior season by grabbing Second Team All-America honors in the javelin at the 2012 NCAA National Championships. Ruzevic finished 15th overall in the event at the NCAA summit with a throw of 46.74-meters to grab All-America honors for the second straight season in the event at historic Drake Stadium.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Looking to secure her second trip to an NCAA Championship this season, Estefany Cruz came up just short of advancing to the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. WACO, Texas - It was a historic day for the Tulane cross country program, as the men's and women's squad both competed at the NCAA South Central Regional for the first time since the 2000 season. The two squads have competed at the regional competition, but have not accompanied each other for over a decade and did so on the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course near the Baylor University campus
HOUSTON, Texas - Tulane's cross country program traveled to Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Saturday (October 15) and came away with a pair of top-15 finishes at the Crimson Classic, hosted by the University of Alabama at the Harry Pritchett Running Park. The men's squad grabbed a 13th place showing and the women's squad claimed at 14th place overall finish.
HOUSTON, Texas - Paige Callahan continued to lead the women's squad and Brian Lozes paced the men's team for the second straight meet as the Tulane cross country program had a solid performance at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede. The men's team grabbed a third place finish with 71 points, behind McNeese State (27) and LSU (33), while the women's team compiled 69 points to place fourth, trailing Nicholls State (51), McNeese (53) and LSU (68).
HOUSTON, Texas - Paige Callahan again led the women's team and Brian Lozes returned to the top of the leader board for the men's squad on Friday evening at the Justin F. Cooper Memorial Rice Invitational. The men's squad placed seventh of nine teams and the women's team claimed fifth place among seven squads.
