Tim Harris, a sophomore at the University of Miami, came to "The U" with all the confidence in the world after setting the Florida State Meet record (1:49.76) and winning Nike Outdoor Nationals…until his freshman year actually began.

"You know after I did all that stuff in HS, it was like people were expecting me to win a national championship in college my freshman year. O Tim, you gotta do this. You gotta run that. I started to take all that stuff into my races and that definitely didn't help. I kind of went into a shell."

While Tim didn't win any national titles his freshman season, he did have one that could be considered successful after placing 2nd at ACC Indoors, 9th at ACC Outdoors, and narrowly missing qualifying for NCAA Outdoors by taking 7th at the East Regional meet.
