Four regional battles took place at Clement Park Thursday afternoon: 3A Region 3; 4A Region 1; 5A Region 1 and 5A Region 2.  The course (I am told a different route this week) seemed to run fast with many exceptional performances turned in. By the grimaces of effort in the last 100 meters of the races, however, it was apparent nobody was taking the task lightly. Even for those that won by great margins, statements were made for those watching and hoping to find chinks in the armor.
