I'm going to miss sending our team to this regional. And, I'm kind of jealous they get to run at Elmwood Golf Course in Pueblo this year, but that's a momentary thing I'll soon be over.
Alamosa and Salida are still top-tier programs in this regional, but there's been some shuffling of the deck the rest of the way through the region. Let's take a closer look:
Boys
Most Likely: Alamosa, Salida, Lamar, St. Mary's
Bubble: Buena Vista, CSCS, La Junta, Manitou Springs, Fountain Valley
Girls
Most Likely: Alamosa, Salida, Colorado Academy, CSCS
Bubble: St. Mary's, Buena Vista, Lamar
If things go according to form, there could be a big log jam for the fifth, and final, boys qualifying spot out of this region. Teams will need to come to this one ready to race all the way down through at least #4....
